What we collect

When you submit an intake, we collect the information the filing work requires: your name, email, and (optionally) phone; the vehicle's year, make, model, VIN, and class; your six eligibility-screen answers; and, for Montana/South Dakota routes, your disclosure attestation (acceptance, printed name, and client/server timestamps). We keep these together as one intake record — the same record your filing file is built from.

This site does not run advertising trackers, and we do not collect payment card numbers on this site. When a payment link is issued for your file, payment is taken on Stripe's own pages under Stripe's privacy policy.

How we use it

• To run the eligibility screen and compute the verdict shown to you.
• To prepare, submit, and track your filing with the relevant county or agency, and to communicate with you about your file's stage.
• To keep renewals and annual reports current if you hold an Ownership Cover subscription.
• We never sell your information, and we never use intake answers for marketing lists.

Who sees it

Government offices receive the paperwork your filing requires — that is the service. Service providers we use to operate (hosting, email, and Stripe for payments) process data only to run the service. We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent fraud.

Retention and your choices

Intake records are retained as part of your filing file (titles, disclosures, and receipts are documents you may need years later, and the Ownership Cover vault exists to keep them retrievable). If you want a copy of your intake record, or want a declined/never-filed intake deleted, email support@torquetitles.com and we will act on it — filed documents we are required to keep as your agent are the only exception, and we will tell you if that applies.
